System requirements?
CALC4XL is a light Microsoft EXCEL Add-In of only 30 MB. Therefore you only have to provide Microsoft Excel 2010 or newer as well as a Microsoft desktop operating system on your computer. All further components (Microsoft .NET Framework 4 or newer, Microsoft Installer 4.5 or newer) are already on your computer or will be installed from the Microsoft webpage during the CALC4XL installation automatically.
Furthermore, you can always test the installation by downloading the CALC4XL test version here.
Can I use CALC4XL on an Apple MacBook?
You can use CALC4XL on a MacBook, too. You will have to install or simulate a Microsoft Operating System and Microsoft Office. As an example, you can install the virtual machine “Parallels Desktop” with a Microsoft Operating System and Microsoft Office on your MacBook. Then you will be able to install and use CALC4XL without any constraints.

How to install the software?
After you have placed your order in the shop, you will receive an order confirmation on your account and by e-mail. Here you will find under Products your software and DB (database) packed in a file named “CALC4XL_fullVersion_yyyyymmdd”. Click on the file and a download will start.

An installing error occurred. How can I fix it?
If you have an installation problem, please contact us or find <<here>> solutions to the known installation problems.
I have successfully installed CALC4XL, but cannot find it in Excel.
When you open Excel, you should find a menu called CALC4XL. If this is not the case, your antivirus program may be blocking COM add-ins. Please adjust your antivirus program or contact us for further support.
Which adjustments should my Excel have?
Please ensure that Add-Ins are not blocked in the Excel security center. If you like to accept only Add-Ins of trusted publishers, you will find the CALC4XL certificate in the downloaded file, too. In there you will also find the readme.txt file which explains how to install the certificate on your computer.
If you like to use the CALC4XL Excel templates (e.g. Cost Breakdown, Multipartlist, and so on), you will have to allow Macros in the Excel security centre.

Windows 10 with Office 2016
If you use Windows 10 with Office 2016 you will have to install “Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime” before installing CALC4XL as it is not installed with Office 2016. You can download the installation file directly from Microsoft or here:

Windows 10 Screen Settings
If you use Windows 10 with more than one screen (monitor), please take care of your screen factor settings. Software display may fail in Windows 10 if you use different screen factor settings for each monitor. Please open the system settings, go to “Display” and choose the same value for “Change the size of text, apps, and other items on this display” for every monitor. Recommended is 100%.

Please install CALC4XL and open Excel. In the Excel menu, you will find the CALC4XL ribbon. Please press the help button (marked by ‘?’): The CALC4XL help panel will open.
